Wendy Okie
Founder and Owner
Wendy Okie founded Okie Accounting Group in 2008 with a focus on helping construction companies and real estate investors gain clarity and control over their finances. What started as a passion for small business accounting has grown into a firm that specializes in the financial complexities unique to project-based and investment-driven businesses.

Wendy holds a business degree from Ashford University and is a QuickBooks Online Advanced Certified ProAdvisor — the highest level of certification available from Intuit.
Before founding Okie Accounting Group, she served as a Finance Director for a construction company, where she developed deep expertise in job costing, payroll, cash flow management, and financial reporting.

Drawing on more than fifteen years of experience as both a practitioner and a corporate-level financial manager, Wendy brings a rare combination of technical accounting knowledge and real-world business insight to every client engagement. Her goal is to help business owners move out of confusion and cleanup mode and into financial clarity, confidence, and better decision-making.

Outside of work, Wendy can be found gardening or catching up on true crime stories.

Since joining Okie Accounting Group in 2019, she has become the team's go-to for transaction processing, QuickBooks file management, and account reconciliations — the detail-heavy work that makes everything else accurate. She is a QuickBooks Online Advanced Certified ProAdvisor, which means she is not just familiar with the platform; she has been tested on it at the highest level.

What sets Michele apart is not just technical skill — it is the way she approaches problems. She genuinely enjoys untangling complicated books, and clients notice. When something does not add up, Michele does not move past it. She stays with it until it does.
